Dr. Stephens received his medical degree from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine. He completed his internship at Transitional Meritcare Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota and his residency at the University of Minnesota Hospitals where he served as Chief Resident.  Dr. Stephens specializes in Anterior Segment surgery including cataract surgery and LASIK vision correction.

Dr. Stephens is an Adjunct Instructor at the University of Minnesota Medical School teaching ophthalmology residents cataract and refractive surgery. Dr. Stephens has researched and presented papers on a variety of ophthalmology topics.  He established and runs a free eye care clinic in Minneapolis.

Dr. Stephens offers his patients the most advanced vision correction technology available today including Intralase and CustomVue LASIK and Multifocal Lens Implants. Dr. Stephens performs LASIK at the Laser Vision Center of Edina, a state-of-the-art laser vision correction facility conveniently located on France Avenue in Edina.

Dr. Stephens is board-certified and a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
