Experience

Providing full-scope optometry for 20 years including; contact lens fitting and evaluation, diagnosing and treating ocular disease, refraction, and binocular function analysis and treatment.

After receiving a bachelor of arts degree in Biology as a Regent Scholar from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, Dr. Thonn graduated with honors from Indiana University School of Optometry in Bloomington, Indiana with a Doctor of  Optometry degree.  Completed Baltimore Academy of Behavioral Optometry Vision Therapy Curriculum I, II,  III as well as Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation.  Member of the following optometric associations; American Optometric Association, Minnesota Optometric Association, College of Vision Development, and Optometric Extension Foundation.  Active member in the Waconia Rotary Club and past-president of the Watertown Lions Club.
