Patient: Tom Profession: Insurance Sales Hobbies: Skiing, Biking, Travel Procedure: Custom LASIK Mono-Vision “Freedom.” The best word I can think of to explain how LASIK vision correction has changed by life. Upon waking the day after the procedure I wias able to read the address on the home across the street. Prior to this I would have needed glasses or contacts. I immediately disposed of contact lens cleaning materials stored in my gym bag, travel bag, bathroom and car. I do not have to insert contact lenses before I leave home. I will never again have blurred sight and itchy eyes from using contact lenses. The ability to see without glasses or contacts has made biking, skiing and aerobics much more enjoyable. When I travel, I don’t have to worry about taking a set of glasses and prescription sunglasses along with contact lens solutions. I recommend LASIK vision correction to everyone. My wife, Arrie, had the procedure done by Dr. Everson about a year before I made the decision to have LASIK vision correction. After watching Arrie go about her daily schedule without the need for glasses or contacts I could not wait to have LASIK vision correction. Since I had been wearing only one contact for a few years I asked Dr. Everson if I could get by with having the procedure on one eye. Dr. Everson said that wearing a conact lens in one eye is Mono-Vision (one eye focuses on near objects, the other on distant objects), and I would be an ideal candidate for the procedure. After the initial consultation we set a date for LASIK vision correction. On the day I arrived at the office, paperwork was completed and I was given a mild sedative (optional). During the procedure (which lasted less than ten minutes), Dr. Everson described exactly what would happen. I could not believe how comfortable I felt during the procedure. In what seemed like just a few minutes, Arrie arrived and drove me home. Patient: Arrie Profession: Edina Chamber of Commerce Hobbies: Running, Biking, Travel Procedure: Custom LASIK Life without contact lenses is amazing. There is no longer the morning ritual of “will the contacts go in today and be comfortable or not.” Weekend outings only require one pair of glasses for the sunshine versus the reading and sunglasses. Computer work at the office seems to take less of a toll on my eyes. My contacts were for distance not closework so by the end of the day I had tired eyes. My traveling carry-on is lighter as there are no cleaners, contacts or solutions and no reading and prescription sunglasses. Thank you!
